Grand Theft Auto fans believe Rockstar Games may have placed an early hint about GTA 6’s map inside a recent GTA Online update.
The theory emerged after players discovered an unusual piece of artwork added with The Kortz Center Heist content. The image shows a partially obscured green landmass covered by dark markings, including one large central island, a smaller section in the upper-left area, and what appears to be a long chain of land in the upper-right corner.
Some fans argue that the shape resembles community-created GTA 6 mapping projects, which attempt to reconstruct the upcoming game’s world using trailers, screenshots, and previously circulated material. Others have suggested that the artwork becomes even more similar when rotated or inverted.
The discovery has gained additional attention because Take-Two Interactive previously indicated that Rockstar was preparing a creative marketing campaign for GTA 6. This has encouraged speculation that the artwork could be an intentional Easter egg rather than a random background asset.
However, there is currently no official confirmation that the image represents GTA 6’s map. GTA Online players have produced similar theories in the past after noticing map-like patterns in textures, objects, and environmental artwork.
Fans are also waiting for a third GTA 6 trailer and a more direct presentation of gameplay. The second trailer included footage captured from the game, but it was edited in a cinematic style rather than shown as an uninterrupted gameplay demonstration.
With GTA 6 currently associated with a November 19 launch date in the supplied report, Rockstar is expected to increase promotional activity as release approaches. Future trailers may provide clearer views of Vice City, surrounding regions, vehicles, activities, and the broader map layout.
Until Rockstar comments on the GTA Online artwork, the supposed map connection should be treated as an unverified fan theory rather than an official reveal.
